Kantar subscribes to global best practice and has complied with GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation) for a number of years. Our policies and practices also comply with the consumer data protection legalities of the Protection of Personal Information (POPI) Act, promulgated with effect from 1 July 2020 in South Africa. To ensure the security, confidentiality and integrity of client, respondent and personal information and data is maintained at all times, we comply with all relevant corporate, legal, statutory and regulatory requirements as well as international standards within the scope of our certification:

‒GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation)

Data protection and information security
We implement fair data policies and procedures and maintain a quality and information security management system as well as a Kantar Data Protection Framework programme, mandatory for all staff, to satisfy specific clients’ quality and information security requirements. As per the Kantar Data Code of Conduct, we’re committed to responsible collection, management, use and protection of client data, consumer data and all information and data related to the operation of our businesses. 

We safeguard the data we collect and hold through a secure technical infrastructure and risk management framework and are transparent with consumers, treating all data as confidential as we secure, collect, process, use and store data appropriately, implementing necessary and appropriate technical measures to secure data, deleting it when required to do so.
