  • What is Arctic Shores?

The skills we look for are based on our Kantar Success Factors, seven skills we all need across Kantar to be successful as individuals and teams.

We can’t say too much about exactly what we’re looking for, but essentially we’re looking to see if you’ve either already got, or have the potential to develop, the key skills and behaviours that you need to be successful in a career with Kantar. We call these our Success Factors. The seven Kantar Success Factors are:

    • Leads with Impact
    • Owns Commercial Success
    • Solves Problems Decisively
    • Connects to Win
    • Builds Great Teams
    • Drives Lasting Changes

  • How will I know if I need to complete an Arctic Shores Assessment?

If you’re invited to complete our Arctic Shores assessment, you’ll receive an email with a link to follow to the assessment, as well as a personal username.

  • What should I expect as part of the assessment?

You’ll need to complete 8 tasks, each taking around 5 to 10 minutes.

Before you go into the assessment, you’ll get some guidance on how to prepare, as well as a practice task to do. We strongly recommend you do the practice, before jumping into the real thing.

  • What should I do if I need any reasonable adjustments?

If you need any reasonable adjustment, please let us know as soon as possible, so we can discuss what options are available. You need to let us know before you start your assessment; adjustments cannot be applied retrospectively.

  • Why doesn’t the assessment work on my device?

Your device needs to be no more than 4 years old for the Arctic Shores assessment to work. Your device doesn’t need to be a computer; it could be a phone or tablet.

If you are having issues, make sure your browser us up to date, and you have cleared your cache. If you’re still having problems, please reach out to the team at Arctic Shores in the first instance; details will be in your invite.

  • Will I get any feedback?

Yes, after your assessment you’ll receive a personalised report, breaking down your behaviours, skills and how you like to work.
Each behaviour assessed is shown as a number between one and ten. You’ll quickly see where you fall on that spectrum. It’ll also compare you to a representative group of others who have done similar assessments. There’s no right or wrong answer; it’s just your working styles and preferences.

  • What does my score mean?

There are no right or wrong answers when it comes to our Arctic Shores assessment. We’re simply looking to see if you have, or are likely to be able to develop, the skills and behaviours that are key to being successful at Kantar. After your assessment, you’ll get a feedback report that outlines your preferred working styles and behaviours.

Cammio

  • What is a Cammio Interview?

A Cammio interview is a one-way video interview. That means you’ll need to record yourself answering some questions, live, from a computer or smartphone. However, there won’t be a live interviewer on the other end; the questions will come up on the screen, and you’ll record your answer. It can feel a little bit strange, but don’t worry, our assessors will take that into account when looking at your responses.

  • What are you looking for as part of the interview?

While we can’t tell you the questions, we can tell you a little bit about what we’re looking for.

The interview will be competency based, which means we’ll be looking for you to share examples of where you have embodied our Kantar Success Factors. As a reminder, these are:

    • Leads with Impact
    • Owns Commercial Success
    • Solves Problems Decisively
    • Connects to Win
    • Builds Great Teams
    • Drives Lasting Changes

To succeed at answering competency-based questions, we’d recommend you follow the STAR format: Situation, Task, Action, Result.

To prepare well, we’d recommend thinking of a few times you’ve demonstrated these behaviours, either in a part time job, at school, or as part of hobby or activity. As long as you can clearly tell us why the example you’ve chose is relevant to the question and our Success Factors, you’ll be half way there!

  • What is the format of the interview?

There is usually an introduction to Kantar, followed by three questions for you to answer. You’ll typically get one minute to record your answer so try to be precise.

  • Can I practice?

Yes! We know you won’t be used to doing interviews like this, so you can practice as much as you like using Cammio’s practice tool. You can also do a media test, to make sure you camera and microphone is working. None of this is submitted to us.

  • Can I re-record my answers?

Yes, you can! You get three attempts to record your answer; however once you have submitted a recording, you can’t return to a previous question.

  • What should I do if I need any reasonable adjustments?

If you need any reasonable adjustments, please reach out to our recruitment team before you start the assessment, to discuss what options are available.

  • Do I need to complete it all in one sitting?

No, you don’t need to. Your progress will be saved and you can return to it later to answer the remaining questions. The most important thing is to ensure you complete it before your deadline.

  • Do I need to create an account or download anything?

No. You can just record your response via the invite, all you need is to access the link via laptop or phone browser.

  • What device should I use?

One of the reasons we use Cammio is that it’s flexible with the devices you can use. You can choose from a laptop, desktop, tablet, or smartphone. We recommend using Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, Microsoft Edge, or Safari as your browser. Whichever device you choose, make sure you have a stable internet connection, and the browser is up-to-date.

  • Who reviews my answers?

Your answers will be reviewed by a real-life human being; it’s not AI. This is one of the reasons we do this quite far into our process; much as we’d love too, our recruiters aren’t able to watch thousands of interviews as it would take all year and we’d never be able to hire!

  • What support is there if I have any issues?

If you need any help once you are in Cammio, you can start by checking out the Cammio help centre

For anything else, please reach out to your recruiter.
