“Our clients don't just want a mountain of data – they need help distilling it, interpreting it, and figuring out what to do next. That's what we're here for.”

What do you and your team do?
We're all about digital insights. We mainly use social, search, and online review data, so this requires consultants who can undertake social listening, search landscapes, review analysis and dashboard creation, to name a few. My team then combines these insights to tell a story and communicate this to the client.

What has your career path been so far?
I came to the UK to do my Masters, and 15 years later I am still here! I did a PhD with the intention of going into academia – but decided I would rather work with people than work on my own all the time. I joined Mavens 10 years ago, helping establish and grow the team to what it is today.

My PhD is in English Language. I have always been interested in language and in the power of words – and so much of my work has been helping our clients gain a better understanding of their consumers through the language that they use online. What are they searching for, and why? What are they talking about online?  And what does this mean for our clients?  How can we use this data and these insights effectively, to improve a client's content and communications?

How would you describe the culture in your team?
The team are supportive, curious, and eager to learn. We're also very collaborative. People are genuinely happy to help each other, share their knowledge and experiences, and help figure out how to solve problems.

The leadership team is also very supportive and honest and are always sharing knowledge and guidance. This is a real positive.

What have you learned since joining the team here, personally and professionally?
You can learn incredibly quickly here – I went from not really knowing about digital to being an SEO expert and a trusted advisor to my clients very, very quickly. In my current role, I've learned a lot about all things management, including overseeing accounts and specific projects, as well as people management.

What advice do you have for someone applying to work at Kantar Analytics?
Think about the story, not just the data. Our clients don't just want a mountain of data – they need help distilling it, interpreting it, and figuring out what to do next. That's what we're here for.
