Senior Author, London
“We have so many different backgrounds, cultures, languages, personalities… For me, this is the most valuable characteristic not just for this team, but for all the teams.”
Tell us what you get up to every day
I’m a Senior Author within the Digital Content team. My role is focused on analysing search data and consumer insights, before crafting and editing search-optimised content in multiple languages, to help brands become more visible online - whether that's acting as a writer myself or working with freelancers to make sure the content hits the right notes for each market.
Before I begin writing anything, I undertake keyword research to understand what content people are looking for when they search online, and how the companies I work with can make the most of these trends over time. Many of the brands we work with have a presence in multiple markets. That means content translation and localisation are key focuses for us, so we also call on our network of writers and editors from all over the world - we're a truly global team.
How did you end up where you are today?
After some time working in traditional journalism in Brazil, I decided to change 100% to Digital in 2013. Long story short, the Digital universe allowed me to be closer to my personal values and keep learning. I have lived in different countries, such as Canada, Italy, and France, in the last few years. The opportunity to work for Kantar full-time was the next step I was looking for in my career because I can benefit from living in one of the cities, I love the most in the world, as well as being able to have contact with people from all over the world in one place.
What is it like working here?
My experience working for Kantar has been incredible and challenging so far. As a woman and immigrant with a disability, I can say I feel grateful for the opportunity to be part of the team. I feel welcome, supported, and comfortable giving my best and improving myself day by day.
We have so many different backgrounds, cultures, languages, personalities… For me, this is the most valuable characteristic not just for this team, but for all the teams. In my opinion, it makes the deliverables and clients’ experiences much richer, more creative, and more interesting.
What advice would you give to someone thinking about joining the team?
If you want to work for a company that values people and inspires and motivates you to be the best version of yourself, not just professionally but personally, do not think twice and check out the open roles at Kantar Analytics.
