What do you and your team do?
My team focuses on answering Return on Investment questions from clients. For example, we can simulate the effect on revenue from alterations to a client's current media spend, which can include a change in the level of budget, change in media channels used, or a combination of both.

For my specific role, once a data analyst from the team has created the outputs for a project, I am tasked with turning that data into a story which can be delivered back to the client. I have to consider previous conversations that have been had the client, what the specific questions they are trying to answer are, or which problems they are trying to solve. My role requires Excel and PowerPoint skills, along with presenting skills.

How would you describe the culture in your team?
My team has a very collaborative and friendly culture, everyone is knowledgeable and motivated to share their true opinions. Daily catch-up calls give us the opportunity to ensure work is distributed evenly, but also to have a break from work and chat to one another.

What has your career path or experience been so far?
I started on the graduate scheme at Kantar. After working in the Creative domain, I moved to Analytics because I wanted to combine my interest in working with data with delivering projects to clients. My role in Analytics provides me with the opportunity to balance both of those interests.

What advice do you have for someone applying to work at Kantar Analytics?
Enthusiasm and passion are as important as technical skills. Kantar offers an environment where it is easy to pick up skills and develop, but the willingness to do so is critical to be successful in a career here.
